After a transaction is captured, it enters a settlement batch. Once the batch settles, funds are deposited to your business bank account on a schedule — typically 1 to 2 business days for card transactions, though timelines vary by processor, bank, and transaction type.

Authorization approves a transaction; capture submits it for settlement; funding is when proceeds reach your bank. The timing depends on batch cutoff, business days, processor and bank rules, holds, and the approved account configuration.
Factors That Affect Timing
Funding speed depends on your processor's cut-off times, your bank's posting schedule, transaction type (card vs. ACH), weekend and holiday closures, and your merchant configuration. New accounts may have longer initial funding holds.
Accelerated Funding Options
Some processors offer same-day or next-day funding where supported. RTP and FedNow support eligible bank-to-bank instant payments, but are not the same as ordinary card settlement. Availability of faster card funding depends on your processor, financial institution, and merchant eligibility.

Troubleshoot a Missing Deposit
Check whether the batch closed before cutoff, compare the processor's settlement report with your bank activity, and review refunds, chargebacks, reserves, and holiday schedules. Contact support with the batch date and amount if the expected window has passed.
